This document is the official Tug of War Ireland Risk Assessment Form for Club Training Grounds and must be completed by all clubs for locations used for regular training activities.

The purpose of this form is to support clubs in identifying hazards associated with training facilities, equipment, and activities, and in implementing appropriate control measures in line with Tug of War Ireland policies and insurance requirements.

Once completed, the Risk Assessment must be signed and dated and emailed as soon as possible to
secretary@tugofwarireland.com to be held on record by Tug of War Ireland.

Clubs must also print and retain a copy of the completed Risk Assessment alongside other club safety documentation. The printed document should be available for reference at the training location.

Online Training Ground Risk Assessment Option

Tug of War Ireland also provides an online Training Ground Risk Assessment Form which mirrors this PDF document and allows clubs to submit risk assessments digitally.

Where the online form is used, clubs are still required to:

  • review the official PDF version, and
  • retain a printed copy of the Risk Assessment for reference during training activities.

Important

Training Ground Risk Assessments are live documents and must be reviewed if circumstances change, including facilities, equipment, frequency of use, or participant profiles. Clubs remain responsible for ensuring that all identified control measures are implemented and adhered to at all times.
