Risk Assessment Form – Activity or Event (PDF)

This document is the official Tug of War Ireland Risk Assessment Form for Activities or Events and must be completed for all club-run events, activities, and competitions.

The purpose of this form is to support clubs and event organisers in identifying potential hazards, assessing risk, and implementing appropriate control measures in line with Tug of War Ireland policies and insurance requirements.

Once completed, the Risk Assessment must be signed and dated and emailed as soon as possible to secretary@tugofwarireland.com for review by Tug of War Ireland and the insurance company prior to the event.

Event organisers must also print and retain a copy of the completed Risk Assessment alongside all other event documentation. The printed document should be readily available for reference during the event itself.


Online Risk Assessment Option

Tug of War Ireland also provides an online Risk Assessment Form which mirrors this PDF document and allows clubs to submit risk assessments digitally.

Where the online form is used, organisers are still required to:

  • review the official PDF version, and
  • retain a printed copy of the Risk Assessment for on-site reference during the event.

Risk Assessments must be completed and submitted in good time prior to the event to allow review by Tug of War Ireland and the insurance company. Late submission may delay review or approval.
