What a fantastic night in Ballinasloe to kick off the Tug of War Ireland Indoor Taster League on November 1st!
There was great entertainment, brilliant spirit, and a fantastic turnout with plenty of new faces giving the sport a try.
We had 5 teams in the 410kg and 4 teams in the 450kg, with The Ridges off to a flying start in the lightweight division — going undefeated — and Taughmaconnell taking the early lead in the heavier class.
It was brilliant to see two new clubs, The Strand and Tooreen, taking part for the very first time — a great sign of the sport’s continued growth and development!
The atmosphere in the hall was incredible, full of camaraderie, with teams mixing and matching to create the perfect blend of experience and inexperience on the mats. Everyone’s already looking forward to Round 2!
